How the gif?

When publishing a game on itch.io, the look of the page is important, as the person sees it first, before playing the game.

I can't say on mine it's great, but I tried! I put the font in in pixel as my game assets are pixel art and the overall color scheme is green (as it's the general color of a slime).

Now, when you look the project thumbnail, it is a gif. An animate one's cool (It only plays in certain situation) and you might want to try one (put on the first frame the image to show when not animated) !

The thing is that it only can be less than 3 mb. Have you ever tried to do a do a gif less than 3mb? If so it is quite hard, so how did I made mine (which is like more than 3 seconds)  in less than 3mb? Well first I use https://kornel.ski/lossygif tool which can significantly decrease the weight of the file at the cost of some quality (unless you go for the most ultra super compress option it probably won't affect the quality). Secondly, on https://ezgif.com/, I used the "optimize transparency" which help to optimize when a pixel stay the same color over some frame. And third I used (on the same site) "color reduction + dither". And for last I just put the frame rate low.

My file started at 27 mb, ended at 2.97 mb!
